Dear Madam, dear Sir,
I am writing to you regarding Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS)
HLS are the most exposed laboratory in the world, and were caught on camera
in 1997 committing various acts of animal cruelty such as punching beagle
puppies in the face, and workers pretending to have sex with animals. HLS
tried to excuse this behaviour and assured their clients that these acts
were just a one off, however in 2005 they have been exposed again for the
same criminal acts.

research data, just this year an ex employee has filed a lawsuit against HLS
when he was sacked after refusing to falsify data. If you have no concerns
about animal cruelty then maybe you care about the quality of the research
data HLS is obtaining for you.
You have an important decision to make and I urge that you do not side with
Huntingdon Life Sciences, please turn your back on the cruelty, lawbreaking
and shoddy research that has been proven to take place.

Dear embassador,
I am writing to you after hearing very disturbing reports of ongoing cruelty
being committed by government-employed officers in Thiruvananthapuram,
Kerala.
According to recent reports and evidence, dogs are being poisoned or beaten
to death en masse, and this cruelty has been ongoing since 2006. As you
know, such cruelty is entirely in breach of India's Prevention of Cruelty to
Animals Act (1960) and Animal Birth Control Act 2001. Furthermore, it is
creating an international outcry which will be harmful to the moral and
cultural standing of the country.
According to the official website of the Kerala Government, the dogs are
being seized and destroyed in order to control "rabies menace". Yet this is
contrary to the recommendations of the World Health Organisation, the
Alliance for Rabies Control and The World Society for the Protection of
Animals, which state that mass removal of dogs is ineffective in controlling
rabies.
I would greatly appreciate you investigating this issue as a matter of
urgency and issuing reassurances that the cruelty in Kerala will cease.

I am writing to you after hearing disturbing reports of ongoing animal
cruelty committed by government-employed officers in Thiruvananthapuram
Municipality.
According to recent evidence from respected animal welfare organisations and
the media, dogs are being rounded up and poisoned or beaten to death. This
cruelty, which I'm led to believe has been ongoing since 2006, is not only
creating an international outcry it is also in breach of India's national
animal protection legislation.
According to your official website, the dogs are being seized and destroyed
in order to control "rabies menace". Yet this is contrary to the
recommendations of the World Health Organisation and the Alliance for Rabies
Control, which state that mass removal of dogs is ineffective in controlling
rabies.
I therefore urge you to investigate these reports and assure the people of
Kerala and the wider international community that the inhumane culling will
cease.
I await a reply to this letter at your earliest possible convenience.

Dear Madam, dear Sir,
I am writing to you because you are on the GSIS board and to draw to your
attention Huntingdon Life Sciences, (HLS) who are Europe's largest animal
testing laboratory. They are also the most exposed laboratory in the world.
I draw this to your attention because your code of ethics states that
professional animal scientists should have proper regard for the safety
health, environment and comfort of animals. Your code of ethics is
completely meaningless when your board members include people from companies
who commission tests at Huntingdon Life Sciences, in particular Novartis and
Actellion.
HLS were first exposed on national TV in 1997 when workers went undercover
in the laboratory and filmed workers punching dogs. After HLS assured the
world this was a one off, they have been exposed yet again for the same
appalling act in 2005. You can read about this here:

I am urging you to take a stand against Huntingdon Life Science. Roche has

Actellion to follow suit. Please use your position on the GSIS to help this
happen.
